You can also use Bugs to degrade the polar and provide extra margin on the glide amoeba.  Or simply use a conservative polar on CN2. 

Obviously, you want the most accurate performance numbers in your vario you can get.

 3) :) I can also turn MC up and ignore the speed command flying block speed over unlandable terrain
what about 1) and 2)?

I've been a pest about task transfer for a couple of years.  One of these days that will make it to the top of the priority stack.

We need better stats all around, and part of this would include a reset function.

Task Transfer from CN to CNv is advertised to be an existing feature in CNv "overview", "Integration". It is time, this winter to execute, so ready for season.
