audio

Hi
I recently upgraded from club to x/c vario.
Where can I find a clear explanation of all the alarm.
In flight it is very confusing for me.
Do not know what decision to take from  what sound.
Thank you

What I suggest is start with a minimalist audio like this:

The decide what else you need/want and try it out in steps.

I like the minimalist approach, myself.  The settings shown here make the vario quiet in sink under all circumstances.  If you want speed to fly tones in cruise, check the speed up / slow down tone boxes.

I have all that.
Which sound correspond to what in flight?

From current release notes:

Vario Audio improvements
 Audio frequencies aligned so when switching between netto, relative netto, and TE, there is no
noticeable transition. Relative Netto is still recommended for cruise audio.
 New speed up/slow down tones
o Speed-up tone: a distinctive, insistent “bom-bom-bom-bom” when flying too slowly for the
airmass
o Slow-down tone: a “bib-bip…..bib-bip….” every 4 seconds if you are flying too fast for the
airmass

and average in Netto only?
Thank you

Personal preference.

The nice thing about relative netto is that it "blends well" with TE in climb mode.  The switch is almost unnoticeable.

Hi
Finally got nice weather to try my new vario setting.
Quiet cockpit with up vario only and very smooth RN/climb transition.
Second day had up to  23 kts wind, RN made it easier to find line of lift.

Has anyone got an idea what a double-bip sound signals? My CNv makes this sound quite often (sometimes every couple of minutes) and it is a little distracting, as I can't figure out what it is.

Thanks, Sebastian

That's the "slow down" sound in cruise.
