PTT Inoperative
« on: July 09, 2018, 11:41:45 AM »
Last week PTT button on stick mounted 10 button remote worked and this week it stopped.  I can hear but cannot transmit.  I am guessing the PTT button just died.  For a short term fix we installed a separate single button switch to activate the radio to transmit.

My question is how do you remove the existing remote from the top of the control stick.  It is NOT secured with mounting screws like I see on the new one on the ClearNav web site.  I have the old ClearNav wooden version.  Is the stick mounted remote just pressed into the top of the stick and I just need to somehow "pry" it out to replace it?  We tried to trace the wires for the PTT and they are buried pretty good so I am thinking it might just be easier to replace the stick mounted remote.
