CNII FLarmnet problem
« on: November 29, 2018, 12:43:36 PM »
I downloaded new flarmnet file to install. "data.fln" (XC Soar)from Flarmnet. I used the original memory stick that came with the CNII and been using, no problem. I put the file in the flarmnet folder after I renamed the old file "old data.fln" and left it in the folder.
The update log message was ------

Moving Diagnostic logs....
Done
Updating FlarmNet File.....
CopyTo Failed: \USB HD\FlarmNet\._data.fln To: \SD Card\FlarmNet\._data.fln
Done
Update Finshed
Remove the USB stick and cycle power.

I looked on the stick with my MacOS Sierra and don't find any "dot files", but I did do a "dot_clean" before looking.
What is my best course of action, or did the file actually copy?

Thanks

Pretty sure the flarmnet file didn't load. You need to make sure all "._" files are removed (they are normally invisible but ClearNav finds them). Blue Harvest works to do that - maybe others. It is a very frustrating Mac problem.

OK thanks.
I used terminal. Used dot_clean -mn command and dragged the stick into the terminal window.
I'll clean the memory stick completely and try again.
