CN Simulator for PC available again
« on: November 03, 2012, 03:40:44 PM »
With some reservation, we've made available a PC sim of CN 2.2.0.38 alpha.  Please read the intro, there are a few caveats.

I must be missing something.
The simulator opens up nicely, but the picture just turns on itself forever.
What do I need to do for simulating an AAT flight?
Thanks,

There's a page of SIM commands on the ribbon menu, and another page of sim commands under setup/tools.  Take a look, their usage should be fairly obvious.

You can set up and edit a task just like you would on a CN.

You can play back any igc flight log, which is often the best use of the PC sim.

Israel map for the CN Sim
« Reply #4 on: December 22, 2012, 01:57:49 PM »
Hi
could it be that Israel map is not available for the Simulator?
I have uploaded Australia maps (through the "map data"/glob/shape as in the instruction) and could replay my Tocumwal flights nicely.
Trying to replay flights from Israel, (after uploading Europe maps, after all we do play in the Eurolig basketball tournament  ;)), only the way points show, but no terrain features.
Now I know that we are in Asia, but there are no maps for Asia for uploading to the simulator.
Is the simulator suppose to show the headwind component? It stays on zero even when the wind is presented.
All in all, it is a great took for practicing the input procedures for tasks.
I know that this is only a simylator problem, since the CN itself comes with all maps loaded.
