connecting 2 varios to one TE probe.
« on: February 09, 2013, 10:09:55 AM »
Hello,
I am going to begin the installation of my clearnav+cnv tomorrow.
My second vario will be the LX16, which is currently attached to the TE probe.
Is it allowed to use the the line from the same TE probe for connection to the CNv TE input?
I have heard conflicting opinions on the subject, some saying that it will cause wrong compensation on both varios.
Thanks,
Doron.

in addition to the question:
I have found the following statement from Mike Borgelt:
"The most common mistake in variometer installations is to connect two vario systems to one Total Energy line with a T-piece at the instrument panel. The only time that this is permissible is when both instruments are of the pressure transducer type. That is, no flasks hence no flow"
Are the LX16 and the CNv both of the pressure transducer type??

Both LX16 and CNv are pressure transducer instruments.  You should be okay.

Thanks Evan
Good news, I am in the hangar doing the installation as I read this, ( bless the iPhone)
And there is only one line  coming from the TE probe
